Abstract
Sustainable management is the vision of the business development, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) fulfillment is the key to achieve the sustainable management. TSMC promotes social progress and a sustainable shared future by accomplishing TSMC's CSR missions of integrity, strengthening environmental protection and caring for the disadvantaged.
In respect of strengthening environmental protection, TSMC is committed to the environmental sustainability, persistently promoting green factories, green manufacturing and green supply chain for the best energy and resource usage efficiency, devoting to the development of waste reduction and pollution control technologies. Moreover, TSMC initiatively engages in environmental protection technology and experience sharing in the hope of integrating the industry, government and Taiwan R&D institution to confront the strict climate change challenges. TSMC's sustainable environmental protection strategies focus on the Systematic Energy-saving Solutions, Zero-impact Techniques on Air and Water Pollution, Wastes Reuse Technology and Industrial Wastewater Reclamation Program. In this seminar, through the quantitative technology development blueprint, TSMC proposes future technical development plan and management strategies regarding to the issues of energy-saving, water conservation, air and water pollution, and the waste treatment area, also makes suggestions to the environment control objectives in a phased manner according to the short-term, mid-term and long-term development progress.
